My name is Chris! I’m a second generation Chinese Canadian with roots tracing back to Brunei which is a nation located in southeast Asia.

Growing up, I spent countless days watching and bothering my mom as she cooked dinner for the family. This eventually led to “helping” with small tasks like clumsily mincing garlic and slowly crushing ginger slices. With my mom’s patience and encouragement, it cultivated a love for cooking. Since then, I’ve continued to enjoy trying out new recipes and cooking techniques.

In my professional life, I hold a CPA accounting designation and thoroughly enjoy my work in the public-sector.

Outside of cooking and making candy, I enjoy going to the gym, skiing, karaoke, and spending time with my friends and family.
